PARTY FEARS THREE have announced a London show on Friday 28th September 2012 featuring very special guests WARREN CANN and PETER GODWIN.

The Edinburgh based trio of Mike Lyden, Steve Adam and Don Thomson share a common love for the innovative music that formed the soundtrack to their youth and specialise in the medium of reinterpretation. Among the many songs they feature in their live repertoire are those made famous by DURAN DURAN, DEPECHE MODE, THE HUMAN LEAGUE, TALK TALK, ULTRAVOX, VISAGE, SOFT CELL, HEAVEN 17, PET SHOP BOYS, YAZOO and JAPAN.

Both WARREN CANN and PETER GODWIN will be making a special cameo appearance alongside PARTY FEARS THREE during their full-length live set. Cann needs no introduction as the drummer and electronic percussionist of ULTRAVOX who reformed in their classic incarnation back in 2009. In May 2012, they released the excellent new album ‘Brilliant’ and are playing an Autumn concert tour in support of it. Meanwhile, Godwin was the former singer with METRO who were Blitz Club favourites and in 1982, he had a cult solo hit ‘Images Of Heaven’ which was recently included in The Electricity Club’s ‘Esperanto – 45 Lost Synth Songs Of The 45RPM Era’ listing.

Incidentally, ‘Images Of Heaven’ also featured Cann on Simmons drums and was later recorded by him for a possible single after he left ULTRAVOX in 1986; Chrysalis Records passed on the opportunity to release it, saying that it sounded too much like IGGY POP! Meanwhile, Godwin later co-wrote CAMOUFLAGE’s 1989 hit ‘Love Is A Shield’ and currently has a new project with BRYAN FERRY producer Johnson Somerset called NUEVO who recently released their first album ‘Sunset Rise’. He also released a new solo single ‘Disguise’ in May.

PARTY FEARS THREE with very special guests WARREN CANN + PETER GODWIN play Upstairs at The Garage, 20-22 Highbury Corner, Islington, London N5 1RD on Friday 28th September 2012; nearest tube is Highbury & Islington (Victoria Line). Tickets are available now via Ticketweb and Ticketmaster.
