BACK TO THE PHUTURE Synth Pop Special

OMD

The next Back To The Phuture radio show on BBC 6 Music will be a Synth Pop Special featuring studio guests ORCHESTRAL MANOEUVRES IN THE DARK. As well as playing classic tracks from DEPECHE MODE, SOFT CELL and JOHN FOXX, there will be new songs from future synth stars HURTS, FENECH-SOLER and DELPHIC.

The Electricity Club are pleased to have been invited by Back To The Phuture to contribute some of the questions that were put forward to Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys by electronic music guru Mark Jones. He also talks to them about their rise to fame, the impact their songs had on the charts and about the music which inspired them to get involved with electronic instruments.

In a fantastic week where The Electricity Club's interview with Paul Humphreys has been quoted by NME and The Guardian in articles relating to the new OMD album "History Of Modern", it has been a pleasure to continue an association which began over a few Tizers at the after show party for HEAVEN 17's triumphant gig at Sheffield Magna.

The show is broadcast on Monday 31st May 2010 at 21:00 on BBC 6 Music. It will be available on the BBC iPlayer for seven days after. More details:
