Nanna Øland Fabricius, known to fans around the world as the artist Oh Land, came in to the music scene in 2008 under less than conventional circumstances. When 10 years of training and a budding career in ballet was abruptly ended by injury, a life in music began.
At the age of 22, Fabricius wrote and produced her first album Fauna, which was released to much critical acclaim. Having recorded most of the album by herself in her bedroom, Fabricius discovered an early knack for production. The process that Fabricius found in creating Faunawas foreshadowing what would come after. She has since released four studio albums and collaborated with renown producers Dave Sitek, Dave McCracken and Dan Carey amongst many others. As a writer she has worked with Sia, John Legend and Pharrell, to name a few.
Fabricius has done numerous international headlining tours over the past 10 years, intermixed with supporting dates for such acts as Katy Perry and Sia. These albums have paved the way for a growing discography of hits, with "Sun of a Gun", "White Nights", fan favorites "Wolf & I", “Renaissance Girls" and "Head Up High", to name a few.
In recent years Fabricius has also made a splash in the classical music world, playing with Lang Lang and Joshua Bell in Carnegie Hall and orchestrating whole concerts for the symphony orchestra in her native country of Denmark. She recently collaborated with the Queen of Denmark, Queen Margrethe II to create ballet for Askepot, the Danish Theatre Pantomimeteatret in Tivoli, Copenhagen. And in summer 2017 she created the musical aspect of Watermusic, a multimedia performance for over 15,000 people at Randers Harbor combining architecture, dance and music, while at the same time creating the exhibition “The Ship” at Nikolaj Kunsthal in collaboration with Eske Kath. Last but not least, she hosted the Elle Style Awards for 2017.
