Event Details

Synthony 101

Formed in 1999, Synthony 101 specialise in cover versions of songs from the golden era of 80s pop. With two talented vocalists, Dave and Hayley, backed up by songs that have been meticulously re-created by keyboard players Antony and Sean, Synthony 101 offer a diverse range of styles that is rarely matched by other bands. The band never fails to deliver a barnstorming set that is guaranteed to get any crowd up on its feet, dancing and singing along to classics by some of the biggest artists of the 80s.

BOO - Battery Operated Orchestra

BOO (Chris Black, Brigitte Rose) make DIY synthpop. Their music has been supported by BBC radio, WFMU and many other fine stations across the world. Their videos and CD artwork, which DJs have described as some of the most beautiful they've seen, are all hand-made by the band themselves.

This event is in support of a charity evening dedicated to the memory of Nadine Byrnes to celebrate what would have been her 50th Birthday.

Ticket price £10 with the proceeds going to the Roy Castle Lung Foundation. Details of where to get tickets can be found here:

NOTE: The issues that people were previously experiencing with the link above have now been resolved. When you click on it, you will be taken to another Facebook page that looks similar to this one but is, in fact, the official page of the people organising this event. At the top of that page you will see "hosted by Pam Byrnes and 3 others". Pam is Nadine's mum, and you should PM her to get tickets.

Tickets are also available from Sweeny Todd's barbershop at Tesco Durrington.

Raffle tickets (with the proceeds going to St Barnabas House) will be sold on the night.

80s fancy dress appreciated but not obligatory.
