OMD are one of the UK's finest synthpop bands whose chart successes include 'Enola Gay', 'Souvenir', 'Maid Of Orleans', 'Locomotion' and 'Sailing On The Seven Seas'. The band reformed in the 21st Century and have presented special showcase performances of their classic albums Architecture & Morality and Dazzle Ships. As an electronic band, they continue to be relevant and in 2013 they released the critically acclaimed English Electric album.
HOWARD JONES established his synthpop credentials via songs such as 'New Song', 'What Is Love?' and 'Like To Get To Know You Well'. He also crafted a particular following for his live performances due to his energetic and elaborate one man stage shows, originally including the talent of mime artist Jed Hoile. His first two albums, Human’s Lib and Dream Into Action went to UK’s album charts at numbers one and two respectively and Howard was also one of only a few UK artists to break into the American charts in 1986 .
A FLOCK OF SEAGULLS emerged from Liverpool's synthpop scene and scored success via singles such as 'I Ran (So Far Away)', 'Space Age Love Song' and their UK Top 10 hit 'Wishing (If I Had Photograph Of You)'. Notable for Mike Score's distinctive hairstyle at the time, the band continue in an augmented lineup today - and based in the US - under Score's direction.
