After six weeks touring North America and a week in Germany, London Synth Pop act Empathy Test returns to their home city for a final headline show in London - and it's a big one!
Singer/Songwriter Isaac Howlett, live drummer Chrisy Lopez and new keyboard player Oliver Marson, will be performing at O2 Academy Islington (main room) as the headliner for the first time.
Main support comes in the form of a full headline length set from Joy Division tribute act Transmission and blistering electropop via Nature of Wires.
Empathy Test is an independent London electronic pop duo consisting of childhood friends Isaac Howlett (vocals) and Adam Relf (production). Inspired by ’80s Sci-Fi soundtracks, ’90s guitar bands and underground UK dance music, the pair have an uncanny ability to write catchy pop tunes with intelligent, emotional lyrics and marry them to stunning, cinematic soundscapes you can lose yourself in. These tunes have been captured on the outfit's twin debut albums, Losing Touch and Safe From Harm
Clash described their music as “gorgeous, sumptuous futurepop”, while Line of Best Fit said it “wouldn’t sound out of place snaking into the soundtrack of Netflix’s Stranger Things”.
