Code: Marla // 21:15 - 22:00The Code: Marla sound stretches from bass through trap, hip hop and rock, but always woven together with live instrumentalism, popping vocals, harmonies and bass. Code: Marla have recently released a new EP: “Origin Story”. This is the fifth release by Code: Marla on Bitnormal Records and is the first featuring the brand new lineup of The Impossible Man (vocals), CJ Thorpe (bass, beats and synth), and Fraser Hall (guitar).
Province Band Page // 20:15 - 21:00A band hailing from the south east of England giving you a cross over between hip hop and metal and rock riffs making the music energetic and up lifting.
Cynthia's Periscope // 19:30 - 20:00"Cynthia’s Periscope is a one person entertainment factory, both visually and aurally. Accompanied by a single drum and a few effect pedals, the self confessed creator of “weirdo pop" delivered a mesmerizing performance" - Bag Thing
FROST // 18:45 - 19:15FROST aka Dale Frost, Northeastern drummer who relocated to the South East in his late teens - has switched over to use his years of dedication spent behind the drum kit to apply his idiosyncratic understanding of rhythm and texture to electronic music production.
His approach utilises evolving loops of highly considered interweaving patterns, brought into focus with found-sound percussion over playful synthesizer and unfurled into crisp and concise instrumental tracks.
Project Concubine (The Voice of The Ivory Tower) // 18:00 - 18:30Project CONCUBINE is a London/Berlin based music project. Their music has been described as theatre-meets-psychology-meets-stream of consciousness battles hidden desires, with a sweet funky and varied electronic musical bed embedded in a great live performance. “We (R) the Final-Posh and calling 4 nothing less then the unconditional surrender!”
Pezzhead // 17:15 - 17:45
Shelly-Denise // 16:30 - 17:00Hailing from Algeria and Wales, Shelly-Denise discovered their shared love for music and channelled their varying influences into the 80s-tinged dream pop that they have made their own. Shelly-Denise have made their corner their own, it being both heavily nostalgic and perfectly contemporary.
Graham Martin // 15:45 - 16:15Graphic, one of the hottest MC's from Essex, is here with a mission: to make as much great music as humanly possible.
Work (bAd bAd) // 15:00 - 15:30WORK is new electro punk project from half of the Bay Area based psych-punk band bAd bAd (S.S. Records).
In this new incarnation, brothers Xian and Michael Zamora offer songs that dissect the doldrums of technology, the paradoxes of synthetic social dynamics, and the blight of modern conveniences. Imagine HAL 9000 starts a punk band without guitars, sacrificing his tech start-up career opportunities for dystopian dance floors dripping with dark wave distortions and 80s electro nostalgia.
