Autorotation

“Really interesting stuff… Reminds me of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop in a way, but obviously a stage or two on from that.” – Rick Wakeman(composer and keyboardist for Yes, David Bowie) Autorotation are an industrial art-pop trio from London, UK. Combining real voices and acoustic instruments with laptops, synths, samplers and visuals, they create compelling and unique live performances. To the ear, Autorotation choreograph a lush electronic choral sensibility with progressive and percussive beats, disorientating washes of pedal-tones and natural warm acoustics, and all somehow within the confines of one ‘song’. There are no boundaries. With influences ranging from Kate Bush and David Sylvian to Aphex Twin and Laibach, Autorotation are at the same time accessible, intriguing and experimental.
